Always be learning!

How annoyed do you get with your children when you tell them something they clearly DO NOT KNOW and they say “yah, I know!” When my daugther says this to me, I think – if you freaking knew, you wouldn’t do it!!!! We would not be having this very conversation if you KNEW because if you did, you would not have done that! Does that drive you as crazy as it does me?

I joke with those close to me that the only thing I am certain about is how much I don’t know! I am a constant learner. I love to read books and connect information from different authors to come up with even more efficient ways of healing the body. The doctors and healers that I follow have devoted their lives to uncovering what it takes for the body to HEAL. They typically have different approaches in how they heal, so as I dissect their work, I find congruentcies that compress decades of date collection from multiple doctors and healers into digestible pieces that can be applied now. These doctors often start in modern medicine but keep finding dead ends to what they can research and share. They eventually leave modern medicine and have testimonials of helping people cure from the incurables! I am talking about autoimmune diseases, thyroid issues, cancer, AIDS and many other ailments. Modern medicine is the basically the study of how medicine can fix an ailment. I am looking at how the body can be triggered to heal.

Along with these doctors, I have been investing large amounts of time in learning from Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi. These two are constant learners and so graceful with sharing how they have learned new information that has forced them to evolve current beliefs and develop new beliefs, which leads to new information that they share. For example, Tony has shared how he told thousands of people in his seminars for years to eat fruit between waking up and noon. He preached this for years!!! After studying an acidic/alkaline state of the body, new information made him realize he needed to adjust his recommendations. He has backed these new recommendations with new + more advanced science. That takes courage and vulnerability for stepping up to say, I was wrong, here is new information and let’s move forward.

The thing about learning that can be scary for some is that once we think we have something figured out, we are able to form beliefs. This gives us certainty in an area (basic human need according to Tony Robbins’ research of millions of humans) These beliefs effect the way we behave and interact with the world and people on it. Somewhere along the lines we have developed shame in sharing when we “are wrong.” What if we shift from believing we are wrong to I have changed my beliefs with new information? There is no shame is stating the fact that you have new information that required an adjustment in your beliefs. Remain open to new information!

Having the mind state of knowing that nothing you belief is finished allows the doors to be open to new information to come in. New possibilities. New, better ways of operation to be found. This allows one to stay in a constant state of growing. This mind frame also keeps one in the state of there is always a solution. People love to talk about their problems. People love to share how a situation seems impossible. Well, I love to find solutions. I love to share how no situation is impossible. I am able to do this because I have an open mind that is constantly seeking solutions.

The only thing that I am certain of is the body’s ability to heal. I seek as much evidence as I possibly can to support this belief, and the more I look – the more I find. Tony Robbins breaks it down in an acronym W.O.M.A.N. The needs for the body to have a chance at healing – Water, Oxygen, Minerals, Alkaline and Nutrients. These are the necessities for your body to develop an environment to heal. Failure to meet these needs, increasing your risk of disease having what it needs to thrive. Meeting these needs, increases your opportunity for healing…so which one are you going to focus on?

If you feel a pull inside of you to learn more, you are always more than welcome to reach out to me for a session and I can help guide you in this journey.
